The bad news

Okay okay, the bad news: finally, the 3-week break I announced in my last article on September 9 has turned into a two-month break.

Well, in the end it's not so much news as that, as the attentive readers among you had already noticed :)

The absence of publication in September was due to my big annual event in Europe, which this year welcomed over 800 people.

Here are a few photos to give you an idea of the atmosphere at the event. Yes, I like to jump :)

In October, I concentrated on welcoming a new group of clients for one of the services I provide, and above all on finishing my book.

As a reminder, this Substack is made up of excerpts from the book I'm writing on the disruption of nation-states by the Internet, and how to get ahead in this new world.

I was supposed to hand the manuscript in to my publisher at the end of August, but I couldn't get it finished in time.

September was therefore dedicated to my event, and I was determined to finish the book in October.

1st piece of good news: My book is finished!

I've finished the manuscript, am proofreading it and will soon be sending it in its final form to my publisher.

This means, if all goes well, that it will be published in February 2025.

However, I still have one very important thing to do: find the title!

A title is very important for a book; it has as much impact, if not more, than the content, on its chances of becoming a bestseller.

The working title I'm using, “Tout le monde n’aura pas la chance de quitter son pays ”, doesn't satisfy me very much. It's certainly in line with the French title of my 1^st bestseller “Tout le monde n'a pas eu la chance de rater ses études”, but I think I can come up with something better.

So I'll be brainstorming and probably soliciting my French-speaking audience to help me come up with a better title by the end of the month. Wish me luck! :)

By the way, the book will be published in French first. My publisher and I will then look for foreign publishers for other languages, including English of course.

But if you can't wait for more English content, here comes the 2^nd piece of good news!
